Every year, over the winter months, I tend to go into a state of unintentional hibernation, when it comes to my photography. However, with Spring fast appearing, I have emerged and am back out taking lots of new photographs again!

Please keep an eye on the FLORAL gallery, as that is where most of my new work will be appearing in the next few weeks.

Those who view my website often, will have noticed the name Rebecca Ridge appear in my last news piece. For those unaware, you will have seen Rebecca feature in a lot of my portrait work.

This evening, she has appeared singing on the opening advert for ITV1s "Popstar To Operastar".

Apologies for having been so quiet as of late. I have been extremely busy with a holiday, a new job, and preparing for Christmas, along with everyday things. I am, however, still very much on the scene though and am taking photographs as often as possible.

After almost a year of planning, the big day finally arrived yesterday, on Sunday 13th September. Final preparations have been going underway for a couple of months now; ordering prints and greetings cards, making signs, designing and distributing posters, placing adverts - the list of tasks was seemingly endless. I am truly thankful that everything ran smoothly on the day, and that people were kind enough to attend and be so complimentary in their views of my work.

With less than a month to go, until my photographic exhibition in Strangways Hall, Abbotsbury; now is a time that I need everyone's help to bring it all together! Posters are currently being displayed around Dorchester, Abbotsbury, Portesham, Chickerell, and Sturminster Newton; with more locations to come in the next few weeks! There are also event pages placed on various websites, including The Dorset Echo, Wessex FM, Heart FM, Dorset For You, Guide2Dorset, and the Weymouth & Portland Borough Council.

It's that time of year again, and I've been sent an emailing reminding me that I am now able to submit images to the Digital Camera Magazine Photographer Of The Year 2009 competition.
Last year I entered a selection of photographs from my portfolio, and I have decided to enter again this year. I will be adding to my online competition portfolio over the next few months, but you can take a look now by clicking here!
